Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro will arrive on March 21, the company announced today. In a series of posts, Xiaomi confirmed that the phone’s chipset is revealed to be Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while the triple rear camera will be powered by Leica.
The Civi 4 Pro will come in four colors. A green back panel, hero color, a glass and a leather part will stand out from each other stylishly.
According to a teaser on Weibo, the new CV phone will focus on performance, photos and design. The frame will be flat and made of metal instead of plastic. The handset will weigh less than 180 grams and have a base of 7.45 mm thin — excluding the protruding camera island.
The arrival of Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro with such a powerful chipset is a huge change from previous Civi devices, which used lesser SoCs. Their best-selling feature was the dual front-facing camera for young selfie enthusiasts.
We’ll have to wait for Thursday’s event to find out how many CVs will be sold, which will also set a benchmark for what to expect in future pricing for Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-powered devices.
